SR OLIVIA KINDBOM AND JR ANNE REA MOVE ONTO THE BIG DANCE!

Congratulations to Olivia Kindbom and Anne Rea for qualifying to the State Finals next Saturday at Fortress Obetz in Columbus. Olivia finished 19th overall and Anne finished right behind in 20th place.

Olivia and Anne will be competing at 1:45 pm for the chance to become one of the top 20 and earn a chance to be recognized on the SVSM WALL OF HONOR in the Cosgrove building. Both have already earned Academic- All Ohio recognition.

Congratulations to both the Men’s and Women’s team for a great season. Although it ended too soon, it doesn’t take away from all of the accomplishments that all have done this year both individually and as a team.

GUYS CAPTURE 2ND PLACE AT THE GLENOAK DISTRICTS

LADIES TAKE 3RD PLACE AT THE GLEN OAK DISTRICT

The men’s team started the day off with an impressive 2nd place finish at the Glen Oak District. The guys team was lead by Senior Andy Thomas 17th place finish, he was followed by Sophomore Kyle Hammer (21st), Patrick Scahill (25th), Sophomore Michael Walter (34th), Sophomore Sam Robinson (37th), Senior Steven Jones (39th) and rounding out the scoring was Sophomore Luke Kindbom (60th)

The Ladies advance with an impressive finish by Senior Olivia Kindbom who took 3rd place and Junior Anne Rea who finished in 7th place and Senior Aislynn McVicker who finished in 12th place. Sophomore Maggie Pariso finished in 36th place. She was closely followed by Junior Bella Lewis (43rd). Libby Shoemaker (52nd) and Ella Weis (74th) rounded out the scoring for the Irish.

THE LADY IRISH ONCE AGAIN CONQUERED ANOTHER MOUNTAIN TOP WITH AN IMPRESSIVE WIN AT THE MCQUAID INVITATIONAL. THE IRISH WON BY OVER 100 PTS AGAINST 7 OF THE TOP 10 TEAMS IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK. THE IRISH WERE ONCE AGAIN LED BY SENIOR OLIVIA KINDBOM WHO HAS NOW WON THE LAST TWO INVITES.

ON THE GUYS SIDE, THE DAY BELONGED TO THE OPEN TEAM! THEY TOOK FIRST PLACE OVER 60 TEAMS. CONGRADULATIONS TO JOSH SKOVIRA WHO LED THE WAY FOR THE OPEN TEAM.

THE GUYS VARSITY ALSO HAD AN IMPRESSIVE 3RD PLACE SHOWING OUT OF 60 PLUS TEAMS COVERING SCHOOLS FROM NEW YORK, CANADA, PENNSYLVANIA AND OHIO.
