LADY IRISH QUALIFY TO THE STATE FINALS FOR THE 14TH STRAIGHT YEAR IN A ROW!

The Lady Irish have done it again! They finished in 5th place at the Boardman Regional to earn the right to go to the State Finals for the 14th year in a row!

Despite the terrible running conditions, the Irish showed their God given talents and determination throughout the race. The Ladies were once again led by Senior Kate Saum who finished in 10th overall. She was closely followed by Sophomore Anne Rea who finished in 12th overall. Junior Olivia Kindbom finished in 28th place. Rounding out the scoring for the Irish was Freshmen Maggie Pariso, Scarlett Powell, Junior Aislynn McVicker and Senior Amelia Moll.

The Lady Irish also earned Academic All Ohio honors as a team. This is the 14th straight year for this award as well.

The Ladies will compete at Noon this Saturday at Fortress Obitz in Columbus at High Noon.

Lady Irish capture the Runner up award at Glen Oak District. The Guys also qualify.

Congratulations to the Fighting Irish Ladies and Men’s cross country team as the ladies team took 2nd place and the Guys team took 6th place at the Glen Oak District. Both teams have advance to the Regional finals.

The ladies team had a very strong showing with Senior Kate Saum finishing in 4th place. She was closely followed by Sophomore Anne Rea who finished in 5th place. Junior Olivia Kindbom finished in 8th place, Junior Aislynn McVicker finished in 28th place and Freshman Libby Shoemaker finished in 36th place. Freshmman Scarlett Powell and Senior Amelia Moll rounded out the scoring for the Irish.

On the guys side, it was Junior Any Thomas who was the first Irish finisher. He was closely followed by Freshman Sammy Robinson, Senior Dhiren Brickman, Sophomore Michael Walter and Freshman Patrick Scahill. Juniors Augustine Leung and Steve Jones rounded out the scoring for the Irish.

The Fighting Irish will be attempting to qualify to the state finals with the Ladies team competing at Noon and the guys team competing at 1:00 pm at Boardman High School this coming Saturday.
